One of the largest projects in Australia; Queen’s Wharf Brisbane is under construction due for completion in 2022. Since the initial concept design stages of the iconic bid in 2013, Cottee Parker have been engaged as the Lead Architect, assembling an impressive project team of Architects and Technicians.

‘This is a once in a life-time opportunity for individuals and us as a team at Cottee Parker, to create and contribute to something truly significant and iconic for Brisbane that will continue to evolve and transform Brisbane well into the future.’ says Director, Naveen Dath.

Architect, Sarah Ainsworth shared how being a part of such a large project has enabled a wealth of knowledge to be shared amongst
the team, the opportunity to be mentored and to also mentor others.

Last week, the team got to experience the progress of their creation at a 1 to 1 scale. Some for their first time, stepped into the construction site in Brisbane’s CBD. Observing what will be the prestigious entrance foyer along William Street and panning back towards the Pacific Motorway and South Bank and beyond.

For Sam Reuter, Cottee Parker Project Coordinator; “A key moment of the site visit was standing inside the base of the car lift core at level L00 and taking in the views upwards through the structure to entry located on level L02. With the adjacent tower core framed in view and sky in the background, this was a unique aspect that not many will get to experience and won’t last long with the speed at which construction is continuing at.”

Naveen Dath, Cottee Parker Architects Director is looking forward to standing on the reinstated William Street, in the middle of the project to get a real sense of the size and scale of the development.

Cottee Parker Architects are proud and have loved every minute of the Queen’s Wharf challenge, feeling meaningfully connected to the Brisbane’s emerging future as a new world city.

We continue to look forward to the ever-evolving progress on site!
